Money

Don’t let anyone ever tell you that money goals aren’t important.  Some people will repeat old adages such as, “Money doesn’t bring happiness”, or “Money isn’t everything”. While they are correct, this doesn’t mean that women shouldn’t pursue the goal of having more money in their lives.  What are the benefits to having money goals?

Benefits of Money Goals for Women

What are the benefits to setting money goals for women?

1. As you work toward your financial goals, you will experience more freedom, autonomy and independence with respect to how you can live your life.

2. You’ll have enough money to live healthfully into your retirement years. Remember, most women will outlive their counterparts, so plan ahead now!

3. When you do retire, you will actually have enough money to do the things that are important to you, as oppose to simply live below your means. Isn’t retirement about living the big dream?

4. You’ll have the ability to take care of your parents, without having to set limits or worry about rising healthcare and home care costs. And, if you’re into spoiling your grandchildren, you can go nuts! Why not create a new scholarship fund for them?

5. Your sense of self-accomplishment, pride and self-esteem will increase.

6. Last but not least, you’ll have the ability to give back to others in a way that is meaningful to you.

Money Isn’t About the Money

When you think about your money goals, don’t just focus on the outcome of how much money you want. Ask yourself how you’ll provide a service to earn that money. Money is nothing but an exchange for how we want to deliver our services to the world. Money is about being rewarded for adding our own, personal unique value.   We exchange our time, efforts and passion to earn more money.

So, what are your passions that could earn you more money? How can you enrich your financial well-being from the inside out? What does earning money mean to you, and how much do you need or want?

Here are some interesting examples of money goals that women I know have set.
