Why a Goal Setting Guide Is Just the Beginning

Why a Goal Setting Guide Is Just the Beginning

There are goal setting dangers that most women are not aware of. Goal setting drawbacks are those that many have when trying to achieve success. If you have been struck by this, then my book is out there to help remedy the situation.

One has to be guided in order to complete the circle of obtaining goals. Here is a look at what is required in order to make these dreams come true:

  • Motivation – If there is a lack of motivation in your life, then this may be the root cause as to why you are not setting your goals. Your goals must be attainable. But remember, even though they are attainable, you will face many obstacles in getting to the top.
  • Dreams – Dreams are not just something that appear in our sleep; they are the prizes that we want the most in life. It doesn’t matter if your dreams are visiting an exotic island or buying a new car as long as they are a conscious awareness of reality.
  • Passion – This is why most women fail when they are setting goals. Many do not possess any kind of passion. Passion is the love for those dreams and moving forward to get them. If there is no passion, then there are no real dreams.

This guide is only the beginning of achieving one’s goals. The burnout from goal setting is very high as goals are often not met instantly. Please remember that there are a few things that one must realize while doing this:

  • Routine – Continue following your daily routine. Just because you are trying to attain goals doesn’t mean you stop your daily schedule.
  • Hope – Always keep hope in the back of your mind. You won’t lose it if you don’t have it. It’s important to hold on to it.

My book, “Goal Setting Myths and Traps that Hold Women Back: How to Move Past Your Limiting Beliefs and Achieve Your Potential” is designed to keep you motivated while enjoying life to its fullest.

Goal Setting Dangers – What to Watch For

Goal Setting Dangers – What to Watch For

Goal setting dangers can really make it feel like goals can do more harm than good. Of course, anything healthy can do more harm than good if not utilized in the right manner. For example, food is good for the body unless we choose the wrong kinds. Exercise is good for us mentally and physically unless we happen to injure ourselves during exercise.

The bottom line is that it is important to be aware of the potential goal setting dangers, and this way you can help prevent them from causing harm instead of good.

  • The “Now What” Syndrome – If you quickly find yourself feeling lost or confused after you accomplish your goals, you may suffer from “Now What” Syndrome. Make sure you have the next goal already in mind or quickly add the next one to prevent this from happening.
  • Expecting the World Overnight – It’s great to be driven and motivated. Goal setting can often cause someone to feel super anxious and ready to succeed—right then and there. The thing to keep in mind is that even your “overnight success” stories probably invested a great deal of time and effort up until that point to gain that “sudden” success.
  • Understand Resistance – One of the most common goal setting dangers is meeting your own mental resistance. There may come a time when you mentally “freak out” and wonder why you chose this and convince yourself it can’t be done. Learn the difference between a moment of needing to alter your goals, giving them up completely, or staying completely on course and working through it.

When you get my book, you will begin to find more of these goal setting dangers and how to prevent them from taking you off the course for your destiny.

When Goal Setting Becomes Your Biggest Obstacle

When Goal Setting Becomes Your Biggest Obstacle

Believe it or not goal setting can often be an obstacle whether it’s choosing the wrong goals, suffering burnout or letting goals actually stand in your way. It’s true that there are actual goal setting drawbacks but you rarely hear about that. While setting goals is a crucial part of planning for success, it is important to be aware of some of the potential goal setting dangers, just so you can be on the lookout for them.

  • Remember that a goal shouldn’t end up being a limitation. Don’t settle for just reaching your goal when you could really be reaching even past that.
  • On the other hand, don’t mistake missing out on one of your goals as being a “failure.” Too often people miss the mark on a goal and use this as an excuse to simply throw in the towel and claim “defeat.”
  • If at first you don’t succeed try another approach. It may feel frustrating to have to keep trying but you will feel on top of the world from the success you gain from finally achieving success.
  • Keep in mind this is a long-term commitment. Too many people expect immediate results and then forget they also have to keep working at their goal setting and achieving. Make sure you are in it for the long haul.
  • Although it isn’t always easy, it isn’t always difficult either. So remind yourself of that during extra challenging times so you will not feel too frustrated during tough times.

These are just of a few of the facts you should consider about goal setting drawbacks. To get a much more in-depth overview of what you should know about goal setting myths you should be moving “Goal Setting Myths and Traps that Hold Women Back: How to Move Past Your Limiting Beliefs and Achieve Your Potential” to the top of your “must-read” list.
